About SOAR

The Student Outreach and Academic Retention (SOAR) Advising Office is dedicated to providing personalized academic support to students who are not in good academic standing, students on Academic Excellence Scholarship (AES) or National Merit Scholars Program probation, or students who desire an additional layer of academic support advising.

Through individualized action plans, identifying academic and/or personal challenges hindering academic success, developing and encouraging proactive study habits, and providing appropriate campus referrals, the SOAR office seeks to proactively and positively support students encountering academic setbacks.

Greetings from the SOAR Advising Office! Our goal is always to provide support, resources, and proactive, forward-thinking planning to assist you in your academic endeavors. Our team is dedicated to fostering success – however YOU define that and assist you in reaching those goals during your time at UTD. Think of us as student advocates with an individualized approach.
